G’day Ron (and others),
While I eagerly await the delivery (second export to Oz?) of my drum, I’m checking out suitable BBQ grills…
One question I have: The grill I’m really interested in has the notch where the rotiserrie rod sits about 200m (8in) above the burners.
Given that the drum has a diameter of 8in, this will mean a clearance of 100mm (4in) between the bottom of the drum and the perforated plate above the burners.
Is this too much? IE, will this mean that the drum is too high above the burners?
Also, this is a 3 burner grill with a total output of ~45,000 btu’s (45 Mj) - is that sufficient for coffee roasting?
Thanks!
Neil A.
