    Hi
I always roast Ethiopian beans to a light roast (mid first crack).
I get colors from light brown to dark brown and everything in between. No uniformity on color
Wish I could add a pic.
Any ideas on what, if anything, I may be doing wrong?
Im using a Weber Genesis 2 four burner grill with sear burner, and I have the burners wide open during roast. Grill thermometer tops out about 570 F by the end of roast.
Maybe it’s just a characteristic of Ethiopian beans. Just wondering if anybody has opinions.

    Hi Kevin…

Are you getting uniformity on your other beans? Is it just this particular coffee? If so, then it’s mostly likely going to be the beans…. and perhaps a mixture of different kinds (moisture?) of beans. If not, then it’s almost always going to be uneven heat…. let me know what you think and let’s continue from there…
    Shane
