I’m about to buy a 6lb drum. Just wanted some input on using the same drum for roasting different things.
E.g. how does roasting chiles affect roasting coffee if using the same drum? Does stainless retain flavors?

Or more simply: can I roast peanuts, chiles, coffee, and cocoa in the same drum without affecting the flavor profile of any of them? Edit: obviously not at the same time.
    Thanks!

Joe, yes you should be able to use the drum for other things with minimal or no cross contamination. You may want to run the drum at a high temp to burn any residue out between roasts
