Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies RK Drums ("we," "us") uses on rkdrums.com (the "Site"), why we use them, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

Effective date: August 1, 2026

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Similar technologies include localStorage entries and pixel/tracking requests, which we group together here as "cookies" for simplicity. Some are set by us directly (first-party); others are set by services we use to run the Site, like our payment processor or our security provider (third-party).

How we group cookies on this site

When you first visit, a banner lets you choose which of the following you allow. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the site footer.

  • Strictly Necessary — required for the Site to function: adding items to your cart, completing checkout, staying signed in, and basic security. These cannot be switched off because the Site cannot work without them, and no consent is requested for them.

  • Analytics — helps us understand which pages and products get used, so we can improve the Site. Off by default; only runs if you accept.

  • Advertising — measures whether an ad led to a sale and helps prevent fraudulent ad clicks. Off by default; only runs if you accept.

Other services that process data on our behalf

These aren't cookies, but they're part of how the Site works and are covered by our Privacy Policy: our shipping partner (ShipStation/UPS), our email marketing and CRM platform (Mautic, self-hosted), our transactional email provider (Mailjet), our community forum (Discourse, at rkdrums.com/community, with its own sign-in session), our customer-review display (GatherUp/ReviewAbility), and our AI chat assistant, which logs conversation content to help answer questions.

Your choices

  • Use the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of any page to accept, decline, or change Analytics and Advertising cookies at any time.

  • Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking Strictly Necessary cookies will prevent the cart and checkout from working.

  • Google offers its own Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

If you're in the European Economic Area or UK

Where GDPR applies, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing — including withdrawing cookie consent at any time without affecting processing that already happened. Contact us using the details below to exercise these rights.

If you're a California resident

The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) gives California residents rights over personal information, but only applies to businesses that meet certain size thresholds (broadly: over $26.6 million in annual revenue (the CPRA's inflation-adjusted 2026 threshold), or buying/selling/sharing personal information for 100,000+ consumers a year, or deriving over half of revenue from selling personal information). RK Drums does not currently meet these thresholds. We do not sell or share your personal information for money. Regardless, if you'd like to know what data we hold about you or want it deleted, contact us below and we will honor that request.

Other regions

Wherever you're visiting from, we apply the same principles: we only use cookies for the purposes described above, we ask before using anything beyond what's strictly necessary, and we honor reasonable requests to access or delete your data regardless of what your local law technically requires.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Site or the services it uses change. Material changes will update the effective date above.
